About the project

The Franklin-Ogdensburg Mineralogical Society is a non-profit society devoted to better understanding the minerals and mining history of the Franklin-Sterling, New Jersey area. Formed in 1959, today the FOMS has several hundred members, organizes informative meetings and quality collecting trips, and twice a year produces an award-winning journal, The Picking Table.
